NaNoWriMo Novel Edit

Tonight I started editing my NaNoWriMo novel, Wytchfae. Yes, I know everyone says your working title is never the one chosen for the final title. Sad. I love this title, especially the spelling. Anyway, although I have now successfully completed the 50,000 word NaNo challenge 3 times, I have never gone back and worked on editing any of the work. This is the year! With our library’s inimitable author panel Cold Read coming up March 19, I figure I’ll get started editing now and still glean gold nuggets from the authors 2 months hence. By gold nuggets, I mean treasured advice.

Those authors know their thing: Loretta C. Rogers who writes rockem sockem westerns (such as Brady’s Revenge under pseudonym L.W. Rogers) as well as western romance; Elissa Malcohn of the Deviations series whose writing schedule is so full I don’t see how she keeps up with herself; Joyce E. Moore whose latest is The Tapestry Shop; & Dylan Newton who recently published her first novel Despite the Ghosts.

So, with dark moon in practical Capricorn, I figure I won’t be distracted by a moonlight walk or an urge to start reading a new book (can’t guarantee that one, though). Time to get to the grindstone!
